Four player score in double figures as Indians beat Lawton

The seniors on the Saugatuck girls’ basketball team played the final regular-season home game of their career against Lawton on Thursday, Feb. 28.
And a fitting finale it was.
The Indians took control early and never relented in posting the 68-36 win.
“Tonight was all about our seniors,” Saugatuck coach Kevin Tringali said. “They have all given so much to our program. It’s always a little bittersweet, but we still have the state tournament to look forward to.”
Two of those seniors were among the four Saugatuck players to score in double figures, with Erin Stannis and Maddie Moore each going for 12 points. Sophomore Zoe Myers led the way with 14 points, while classmate Karrisa Moerler added 10 points.
All nine players who suited up for the Indians found their way into the scoring column.
“I really feel like we’re playing our best basketball right now,” Tringali said.
