Evan Czarnecki maintains a busy schedule these days, not only playing for the Saugatuck boys’ soccer team but also serving as the kicker for the Indian football squad.

That hectic schedule didn’t seem to slow him down in the soccer team’s game with Coloma on Monday, Oct. 2.

Czarnecki scored both of the Indians’ goals to lead Saugatuck to the 2-1 victory. Griffin Milovanski accounted for both assists.

Aaron Carten-Crandell made seven saves in goal.

The outcome wasn’t as good for Saugatuck in its game with Hackett Catholic Central on Tuesday, Sept. 26, as the Indians fell 9-1.

Daniel Marshall scored the lone Indian goal.

Fennville ties one, losses one

Christian Mendoza-Huynh and Jan Serrato each scored a goal to lift Fennville to the 2-2 boys’ soccer tie with Covert on Thursday, Sept. 28.

Juan Romero picked up an assist, with Andy Estrada making four saves.

The previous day, the Blackhawks dropped a 2-1 decision to Kalamazoo Christian.

Romero accounted for the lone goal. Estrada made seven saves.
