Saugatuck soccer wins pair of games at tourney

COMSTOCK PARK—A slow start gave way to a strong finish for the Saugatuck girls’ soccer team at the Comstock Park Invitational on Saturday, May 4.
After dropping their first game 4-0 to Cedar Springs, the Indians rebounded to take down Kelloggsville 3-0 and upend Tri-Unity Christian 4-0.
Karrisa Moerler was the offensive leader for Saugatuck, scoring three of the team’s seven goals. Delaney Dewey-Harney also had multiple goals with two in addition to finishing with three assists.
Grace Miller and Kasey Losik each scored once, with Emma Walker chipping in with an assist.
Saugatuck was unable to continue those winning ways against Coloma on Monday, May 6, dropping the 2-0 decision.
Emma DeBoer and Dayna Crough combined to make three saves in the loss.
