Saugatuck volleyball falls to Schoolcraft

Schoolcraft proved to be too much for Saugatuck on this evening as the Indians dropped the 25-13, 25-13, 25-14 decision on Thursday, Sept. 6.

Aerin Baker paced Saugatuck with six kills, followed by Erin Stannis and Madelyn Moore with five each. Karissa Moerler and Kierstyn Stoin tied for team-high honors with 10 digs, while Josie Lubben served up four aces.

Zoe Myers finished with six assists.

Hosting a quad on Tuesday, Sept. 4, Saugatuck picked up a pair of wins with a loss sandwiched between.

The Indians beat Wellspring 25-8, 21-25, 15-10 and Godwin 25-12, 25-16. The loss came to Rivertown 25-23, 25-20.

Madelyn Moore had a big day for Saugatuck, leading the team with 22 kills and five blocks. She also served up four aces.

Zoe Myers led in aces with 15 and assists with 13, which was two more than the 11 posted by Erin Stannis, who also had 12 kills. Kierstyn Stoin finished with 18 digs.
